CUFFS: MISE-EN-SCENE AND OTHER ELEMENTS

3. It evokes emotions in the audience and Steed because they experienced the war first hand. They feel like they relate to how Steed feels. Also he feels very nostalgic because he fought in the war, and it was like going back in time. He also feels sadness as he remembers the soldiers and civilians that died. He salutes the air field in an act of respect. 
4. financially independent (has her own apartment), She can fight and is very fast thinking/composed during intense situations.
5. POV shot to show Emma Peels bags are still at the inn, after Piggy Warren told Steed that she left.
6. Stereotypes are inverted in the scene where they are in the classroom. Emma Peel is standing with the chalk board, pointer in hand, whereas Steed is sat down on a child's desk. He is made to seem small and not very smart, which is the opposite of the expectation at the time.
7. Emma Peel lives on her own, She can fence, she will not do jobs for Steed (getting cream for Steed's coffee)
8. You can hear both diegetic and non-diegetic sound. The diegetic sound is Ryan walking on the beach and the chief constable talking about the police's challenges during a cross cut scene. and the non- diegetic sound is the intense music in the background.
